Next time your umbrella loses a fight with the wind, remember...
It seems April is no longer the main month bringing the showers. Fortunately, it's the perfect opportunity to:
Children: They have fantastic imaginations. They can craft beautiful worlds with only their mind's eye.
Adults: We are quite rules-oriented and often move so quickly that we see only that which is in front of us. Our intelligence occasionally reminds us to look closer and to discover that which was not originally visible.
Reflections: They allow adults to see as children do, and to notice a story that our eyes do not initially show us. For example, I had no idea of the greenery that this reflection photo would uncover when I passed by this pond in Central Park. I simply thought, "those tree stumps are reflecting nicely on the windswept water. I wonder what a photo may uncover." And so this photo brought to life my wish for the greenery of Spring and Summer. I feel like an imaginative child once again.
This February, the weather is as volatile as the financial markets. The new normal? At least nature is picturesque!
